Ah! I am so excited to share this recipe with everyone! After many trials and many, many errors- I have finally made the perfect protein pancake recipe! My secret?
BSN Lean Dessert Fresh Cinnamon Roll Protein Powder.
You could try any protein powder, but it won’t taste as yummy as this (trust me, I’ve tried).
This bucket goes for about $20-25 bucks. There’s about 40 scoops per container, that’s 40 yummy pancakes! It is worth the investment!
The recipe is as follows:
1 scoop BSN Lean Dessert Fresh Cinnamon Roll Protein Powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 whole egg
2 tbsp. cream cheese*
1 tbsp. water
~Mix all ingredients in a blender. You may add more water if the batter appears too thick. Pour batter into non-stick skillet and cook as you would a pancake, about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Top with 2 tbsp. sugar-free syrup and you have yourself a yummy, low carb, delicious breakfast (…or lunch, or dinner, or snack)!
*Most of you would say that cream cheese isn’t the best “healthy” option to be putting into a pancake. I’m currently carb-cycling, which has worked well for me to lower my body fat percentage (I will write a post about this technique soon). This pancake is low-carb (only 8g), whereas regular pancakes can pack up to 40g carbs per cake! If you don’t want to add the cream cheese, swap it out and add 2 tbsp. of skim milk or plain yogurt!
